WHAT'S THE STORY
Ed Nicholson has been playing, writing, leading worship music at churches, and performing all over the world ever since he can remember. As a part of Three Crosses, one of the more successful Christian Rock bands of the 90’s, and writing many of their hit songs, Ed's musical career has taken off in a different direction. While the direction and focus of Ed’s music may be different, the passion remains the same.
While continuing his passion for music and songwriting Ed also works with as a consultant with houses of worship to integrate modern technology and A/V Systems. Ed also maintains a busy teaching schedule teaching music privately in Morris County for 10 years now. He is a in demand as a worship leader for conferences, retreats, and outreach events and still performs with His band and as a solo artist.
Highlights of Ed’s Career Include The 8th Christian Rock song of the decade. “The Stone Was Rolled Away” Several Top 10 and 3 Number one songs. Gold and Platinum awarded Artist and Songwriter. Producer of Several Gospel, Pop and CCM artist. He co wrote the song “Tell the World About You” with Grammy award winning songwriter Robert White Johnson for Jessica Simpson.
In 2003 Ed put the finishing touches on “OUT OF MY HANDS,” his first solo album that is packed full of crunching rhythms, insightful lyrics and smooth vocals. He wrote the song “Restoration,” a song that reached #8 on the CCM charts for Phillips, Craig and Dean. 2006 Ed penned the top 5 single “Each Day of My Life” for Christian Artist Wayburn Dean.
In 2010, he joined his fellow bandmates “Three Crosses” and performed at Carnegie Hall for a sold out performance with producer Tim Janis. He has performed with Amy Grant, Michael W Smith, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Jars of Clay, The Newsboys, DC Talk…. Nicholson has worked with Legendary Producer Barry Beckett (Bob Dylan, Lorri Morgan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dire Straits) Music Business legend Wes Farrell (Partridge Family, Tony Orlando, Kenny Rodgers) Ground breaking Christian music greats Dan Harrell and Mike Blanton.
